RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) on Monday signed seven contracts in Riyadh to carry out various relief projects.

Five of the projects are meant to provide relief to the Syrian people in several cities of the war-torn country and for the benefit of Syrian refugees in Turkey. The other two projects aim to assist the displaced Rohingya people in Myanmar and Bangladesh.

In a statement issued following the signing ceremony, KSRelief chief Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said the center signed contracts worth $4,657,595 on the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He said that the projects highlight the role of the Kingdom in making efforts to provide relief to the suffering humanity across the world.

Recently, KSRelief signed a joint program worth $500,000, in cooperation with a civil society organization in Sudan, for providing meals to the needy in the country during Ramadan.
